This site, hauntedrpg.com, is operated by Burzerkerr Studios LLC ("we," "us")
to share news about Haunted, our tabletop roleplaying game, ahead of its Gamefound
launch. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
Your email address, if you choose to sign up for our mailing list. It is
stored and managed by our email provider, Kit (kit.com).
Advertising and analytics data collected via the Meta (Facebook) pixel and
cookies, but only if you accept cookies using the banner on our site. This
includes pages viewed, actions taken (such as signing up), and standard technical details like
your browser type, device, and approximate location. Some of this may also be sent to Meta
server-to-server via Meta's Conversions API.
Basic server logs kept by our host (GitHub Pages), such as IP addresses, as a
normal part of serving the website.
How we use it
To send you occasional updates about Haunted and its launch.
To measure how our ads perform and to reach people likely to be interested in the game.
To build audiences for advertising, including showing ads to people who have visited our site
or engaged with us.
Cookies and the Meta pixel
The Meta pixel is a small piece of code that sets cookies and reports activity to Meta.
It does not load until you select "Accept" on our cookie banner. If you select
"Decline," no pixel or advertising cookies are set. You can change your choice at any time using
the "Cookie choices" link in the footer, or by clearing cookies in your browser.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share limited data with the service providers that make this site work:
Meta Platforms: for advertising and measurement (only with your consent).
Kit: to store our mailing list and send emails.
Gamefound: our crowdfunding platform, if you click through to our project page (Gamefound's own privacy and cookie practices apply there).
GitHub Pages: our website host.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live (including the EU, UK, and California), you may have the right to
access, correct, or delete your personal data, to withdraw consent, and to opt out of the
"sale" or "sharing" of personal information for targeted advertising. You can:
Decline cookies, or withdraw consent later, using the banner and the "Cookie choices" link.
Unsubscribe from our emails using the link at the bottom of any email.
Adjust ad preferences directly with Meta in your Facebook/Instagram settings.
Contact us to request access to or deletion of your data (see below).
Legal basis (EU/UK)
For visitors in the EU/UK, we rely on your consent for advertising cookies and the
Meta pixel, and on your consent to send you marketing emails. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Data retention and transfers
We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove it. Because our providers
(Meta, Kit, GitHub) operate in the United States, your data may be processed there.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We may update this policy as the project grows. We'll revise the "last updated" date above when we do.
